SEPTEMBER

The 19th Annual Mullet Festival
September 1, 2008

The 22st Annual Mullet Festival hosted by Optimist Club of Perdido Bay, Lillian. Held at the Lillian Community Club on Hwy
98. Activities for this big indoor and outdoor one-day event on Labor Day begin with a breakfast at 6:30 a.m., traditional “Run
for the Mullet 5-K Race” at 7:00 a.m. followed by A Mullet Toss and other activities concluding with a four-hour dance party
until 11:00 p.m. Arts and craft booths available. Contact Bob Schaefer (251) 961-3502 and all proceeds from the festival
fund the Optimist programs for area youth



Pensacola Seafood Festival
September 26 - 28
31st Annual Pensacola Seafood Festival  The Fiesta of Five Flags presents the Pensacola Seafood Festival on the fourth
weekend of September in historic Seville Square area in downtown Pensacola. You and your family can enjoy delicious
fruits of the sea at this outstanding event which has been consistently recognized as one of the Top 20 festivals in the
Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society. The 2008 festival is scheduled for September 26, 27, and 28. Admission is
free.


Seafood Festival 5K Run/Walk
September 27,
Seville Quarter, Pensacola, FL 7:15 to race start or the first 10 takers at $50 per entry. Entries are not eligible for a race shirt
or an award. They will be scored using a fictitious name, age and sex pre-entered in the data base against the assigned
number.

Haunted House Walking and Carriage Tours
Fridays and Saturdays, October 17, 18, 24, 25, 31 and November 1, 2008

For 18 years the Pensacola Historical Society has been conducting Haunted House Walking and Trolley Tours on the two
weekends before Halloween. These are a favorite of young and old, native and tourist. Why don't you join us on our next
spooky adventure. Tickets go on sale the third week in September, call early before you miss your chance of a haunting.


Jay Peanut Festival
EARLY OCTOBER

Gabbert Farm, 4 1/2 miles south of Jay, FL off Highway 89 on Pine Level Church Road, 50 miles north of Pensacola. In the
northern Santa Rosa County town of Jay, Cow Patty Bingo is part of the annual Jay Peanut Festival held every year in early
October. The festival is held at the Gabbert Farm, 4 1/2 mi S of Jay off Hwy 89 on Pine Level Church Rd, 50 mi N of
Pensacola. Horse rides, antiques, farm museum, food, peanuts--green boiled, baked goods, restored antique farm
equipment, sugar cane mill, pig chase, bubble gum contest, kiddie pedal tractor pull, wagon ride, hay ride, pony & train

Pensacola Bay International Film and Television Festival
October 26th

The 5th annual Pensacola International Film Festival kicks off Friday October 26th in downtown Pensacola. The festival
begins with a free outdoor screening and continues the rest of the weekend at the Gulf Breeze cinema. As always, the finest
films from around the world will be assembled for a weekend of movie going unrivaled at any other time of the year.

Winterfest
November 23rd - December 23rd

Winterfest is Pensacola's favorite holiday celebration. Our tours and performances light up beautiful Downtown Pensacola
from Historic Seville to the Palafox Business District. This year, we offer five exciting tours for the whole family, including a
special Santa's Express Tour that's great for young children, and our flagship Performance Tour featuring 14 fun stops with
your favorite holiday characters. Downtown Pensacola once again becomes the stage for Winterfest! The annual celebration
features a series of live and interactive musical performances along a 2. 5-mile route in downtown Pensacola. The idyllic
historic setting of Downtown Pensacola encompasses a historic residential neighborhood and downtown storefronts.

DECEMBER

Pensacola Christmas Market
December 12-14
Seville Square, Pensacola, FL The Christmas Market is in its 5th year this 2008
We are a celebration of Christmas and the Holiday season with arts and crafts vendors selling their unique Arts and Crafts
for gifts and collections, food vendors selling foods and drinks appropriate to the season and the gazebo in the square alive
with the joyful sights and sounds of the holidays in music, dance and theater by our talented local artists, both children and
adult performances. All this is in a festive setting that is magical, a historic environment and holiday décor sprinkled with
little white lights on booths, in the square and on the houses and businesses around the square. This year, 2008, the
festival will be the 2nd weekend of December, the 12th,13th and 14th from 10-8 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10-4 pm on
Sunday.  We are also planning a salute to Spain, Pensacola's founding country as 2009 will be 450 years since our initial
founding.
